From my experience so far, you can be closer to the star than the top 10 on the last frame, but since it only checks once every 1/30th of a second, being closer on the last frame doesn't help because you need to be touching it by then

TheBluntKnife If my cheated ghost gets removed I'll give it a try for a while, but 1.77 might be the best possible. Normally I like to believe in the possibility of saving an extra frame or two, but this specific example is an extremely basic track and the slowmo at the start prevents you from trying too many more things to save a frame.
